John has been admitted to practice for over 45 years, and has worked in the law for over 51 years.

Elliot Ryan
Senior Associate

Elliot practices in Family Law, Wills & Estates Planning, and Contested Estates. He regularly represents clients in Court and as an advocate at Mediation.
Elliot is a current member of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia. He is a former President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Murdoch Student Law Society and was also a Councillor for the Australian Law Students Association.

Natalie Mulvaney
Lawyer

Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws in 2014. She was admitted as an Attorney and Notary Public of the High Court of South Africa in March 2016. Natalie was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in October 2017. Natalie joined Butlers in May 2019 after having practiced law in South Africa for three years. Natalie has experience in estate planning, complex deceased estates, drafting wills, disputed wills, and contested estates. Her kindheartedness and concern for her clients is remarkable.

Sarah McCarthy
Senior Lawclerk/Graduate

Sarah joined Butlers in March 2015 as a receptionist and quickly moved into the role of Law Clerk. Sarah has since completed her legal degree and is working towards being admitted as a lawyer. Sarah specialises in large matters and assists the solicitors as much as possible.

Sarah completed a double degree in Environmental Science and Marine Biology. Sarah has lived in Colorado and Hawaii and moved to Perth in 2013.

Tyler Greatrex

Tyler joined Butlers in March 2019. Tyler is currently studying his LLB degree at the University of Southern Queensland, with the view of graduating at the end of 2021. Tyler is passionate about helping those who are unable to help themselves. Tyler assists in all aspects of Family Law, Wills and Family Provision/Contested Estates.
